So I purchased my Detroit jacket a while back but really didn’t get a chance to start wearing it until recently. I wore it a few times last year after I bought it but a mild winter didn’t help. When it got cold this year I started using it more. So far for versatility it’s tough to beat. I did have a snap issue where one broke and I had to wait for replacement parts but once fixed ( literally took me 5 minutes to fix it fortunately I’ve got the tool for it and snaps on hand should it happen again but I think it’s unlikely). This thing is heavy leather and if I got to put a motorcycle down I’ve got little fear it will not keep me in one piece. The Detroit is a unique style of jacket with the pocket placement and zipper angle. It’s easy to put on and even easier to hook the zipper to close it. I like it and I don’t ride regularly but still wear it cause I think it looks that good. The pocket flap has 3 holes which are good for oddly pinned badges ( mine is a screwback design and has some very wide spacing). The lining does create some tightness with my winter base layer but I can move well enough to get it done. This thing is gonna last you a long time, dare I say you might be able to put in a full 20 years and retire without having to buy another jacket
